The Jester, The Knight, and The Ivory Goddess
See, my reality, it is shattered,
I am still picking up the pieces.
While flying around in a spiral,
Are infinite white geeses,
Controlled by the grace and eyes of the shade,
Do I really know all about the waters in which I wade?
This is why I am the Jester,
Never showing my old self,
Because a lot of voices didn't like,
An old book which I put on the shelf.
I hung up my hat and sat and I thunk,
I know! I'll follow the path of the monk!
Enlightenment came as fast as desired,
Only because lit were the curiosity pyres.
Drank the blood of God, they say,
As they chattered about in their fickle way,
Ate the flesh of God, they say,
As they mumbled incoherentlay.
Consumed was the manna,
Now embedded within my skull,
I became the key,
The Great Hand was the scull.
I unlocked a box in forgotten storage,
All because I went outside to forage,
On a quest to search to find to be,
I no longer wander about aimlessly.
Then my eyes open slowly and She is revealed,
A torn Angel of Beauty,
From a far off plain, I do believe,
She knows now of my honor,
She knows now of my good deed.
I am blindfolded and holding a torch which I need not,
I hear about things that make my ears bleed rot,
Such is the nature of malevolent acts,
And in my act of selflessness,
I will repair them with threads of flax.
Like the moon she changes me so,
A dumb altered beast,
Into a Knight filled with hope,
Nice armor also to say the least.
We now hold hands together,
As tide meets the shore,
And now I relearn,
Love forever more.
She becomes the seed,
She becomes the tree,
She becomes the leaf,
Ever ordered chaotic in the breeze.
Then I catch her as I wept,
Tears falling from the silver clouds,
And I lift her up high,
On a pedistal of ivory she is kept,
For she is the Ivory Goddess,
Whom keeps me in check.
It could be all in my brain,
A fragile thing to comprehend,
I am nearly as mad as a hatter,
It goes along with my grin.
It could be all in my heart,
A once broken and desolated chamber,
I hope for the sake of a future happiness,
That never shall we part.
